Dover District Local Plan

In 2020 we worked with Dover District Council to shape and brand their Local Plan. We started by asking key local stakeholders to contribute to discussions and share their insight for the Vision for the Dover District for the next 20 years.

We held a digital workshop split into sessions on: Business tourism and the town centre, housing the community assets, transport, climate change, heritage, leisure and green spaces.

It was credited by the client as being ‘outstanding, original and showing best practice’ in terms of Local Plan consultation.

The local plan sets out the vision for the future of the area . In 2040 Dover District will be a place of aspiration, providing outstanding opportunities for sustainable living.

Dover Local Plan Logo
“It’s a great brand - that logo jumped out at me the minute I saw it and I love it”

Lois Jarrett | Head of Planning, Regeneration and Development, Dover District Council

The brand personality needed to portray this.

The brand focused on the districts enviable countryside and coastal environments and has a strong health and wellbeing feel. Colour pallet reflects this.

The brand also had to sit happily alongside/compliment the existing DDC brand.

As well as a strong logo – bespoke supporting graphics were designed.

The design appears on the local plan, website, social media graphics.
